Legends line up for Marymass Folk Festival

PLANS are well under way for this year’s 42nd Marymass Folk Festival to be held from August 19 to 23.

Organisers are saying it’s set to be the best yet with a long list of impressive acts coming from all over the world to perform in Irvine.

Folk legends Eric Bogle and John Munro, The Emily Smith Band and festival favourite Johnny Silvo have already been lined up to perform.

Other acts include The Buskers, fiddler Chuck Fleming and Irish acoustic act, The Drantan, will also be appearing at the festival over the five days.

Young Folk Award 2008 winners Jean Leslie and Siobhan Miller will be performing too.
