TEAMS from both Irvine Athletic Club and North Ayrshire Athletes competed in the Ayrshire Track and Field Championships at Dam Park Stadium on Sunday.
And the star of the show was North Ayrshire youngster Demi Orr who had an outstanding championships, winning gold medals at 80m, 150m and 600m.
Irvine AC's senior men also took full advantage of the excellent conditions with won gold and bronze in the 5000m race with Alex Allardyce storming home fist in 16 minutes 38 seconds and Jim Sneddon finishing third in 19.21.06.
Sprinter Jamie McDonald won both the U20 men's 100 and 200m races while North Ayrshire U11 boys Logan Craig and Jack Frew both improved their personal bests in the sprints and long jump, winning six medals between them.
U15 girl Caitlin Lee improved her long jump PB by over 30cm on her way to winning silver, and she also took gold in the 300m and another silver in the hurdles.
U15 girls Alana Crawford won silver and gold in the 100m and 200m respectively, new U15 girl Daniel Joyce won gold in the high Jump and U13 girl Kyle Jackson, another new face, repeated the performance in the discus to round off a tremendous championships for both the Irvine and North Ayrshire squads.
