FOOTBALLER Michelle Collins is on the lookout for women who want to get fit and join a team with her.
The 25-year-old North Ayrshire Leisure coordinator has been playing football since school and is hoping to set up a new team.
And it’s open to any women aged 17 to 70.
“It’s all about keeping fit and having a kickabout at the same time and I really hope there are women out there who feel the same,” said Michelle. “I teach a lot of classes at schools and in the community and I’ve been saying to everyone about the team as I’m hoping we can play in the second division.
“This will be the only women’s team in North Ayrshire and we are being given support from Kilwinning Sports Club who are letting us train here.
“Other areas have teams and, coming from West Kilbride, I would really love to see a club up and running in this area.”
The first training session will be on Tuesday, May 12, at Kilwinning Sports Club from 6pm to 7.30pm and costs £1.50.
The team will be run by volunteers and if you feel you may be interested in assisting with the organisation or running of the team, feel free to come along on the night or contact Michelle on 07867 501 164.
