Girdle Toll Boys Club nets £2000

A BOYS’ football club are in line for £2000 to help run a tourney which attracts more than 1000 players.
Girdle Toll Boys’ Club are to get the cash from the North Ayrshire Council community development fund.
The money will go towards the hire of pitches and the provision of medals for the players in their sixth annual football festival.
The Irvine Area Committee was told the event attracted 96 seven-a-side teams in the five to 10 age group.
It is organised by the club and run by the committee and parents.
