THERE’S no rest for Irvine Meadow as they plunge straight back into competitive action with just ONE training stint under their belts.
The earlier-than-usual start to the new season means Meadow, who only finished up on Thursday, June 18 report back for training on July 22 before heading to the Neilston Tournament the next weekend and then opening their defence of the Ardagh Glass Cup with a trip to Ardeer on Wednesday, July 29. The early start was voted through with only seven dissenters as clubs try to avoid the traditional end of season backlog and means that once again there will be an additional Meadow-Vics clash which will be played as a standalone Marymass Derby game at Victoria Park on Friday, August 21 when the sides will compete for the Irvine Herald Marymass Trophy.
