Irvine centre kits out refs

IRVINE'S Rivergate Centre is the sponsor for the new referees' kit for North Ayrshire Sunday Amateur League, but unfortunately the players won't come up against any referees who look like Gillian Standen when they line up for a game.

The sponsorship was requested by a member of the centre's cleaning staff and when he brought the kit in to let mall manager Patrick Robbertze and the management team see it he suggested that Gillian should model it. And if Gillian does ever decide to take charge of m a t ch e s there’s no doubt there wold be a queue of players wanting to have their names put into her little black book.
