THERE’S plenty of local interest remaining after the outcome of last week’s District 21 (North) semi-finals.

Results were.
Singles. Dreghorn bt Ardrossan; Skelmorlie bt Towerlands.

Junior Singles. Springside bt West Kilbride; Blacklands bt Ardrossan.

Pairs. Irvine Park bt Blacklands; Kilbirnie Ladeside bt Kilwinning.

Triples. Blacklands bt Glengarnock; Kilwinning bt West Kilbride.

Fours. Dreghorn bt West Kilbride; Irvine Park bt Largs Halkshill.

Senior Fours. Ardeer Rec bt Irvine Park D; West Kilbride bt Millport A.

The line up for the finals at Irvine Winton Bowling Club on Tuesday, June 19 is as follows.

Singles. Dreghorn (J. McHarg) v Skelmorlie (G. Wilson).

Pairs. Irvine Park (C. Prophet, G. Williamson) v Kilbirnie Ladeside (G. Borland, H. Steven).

Triples. Blacklands. (C. Meney, G. Walker, D. Johnstone) v Kilwinning (A. Williams, S. Malcolm, C. Carswell).

Fours. Dreghorn ( D. Stevenson, J. Williamson, S. Heron, D. McHarg) v Irvine Park (G. Prophet, E. Frew. K. Donnachie, C. Williamson).

Junior Singles. Springside (I. McCulloch) v BLacklands (S. Welch).

Senior Rinks. West Kilbride A (I. McNicol, W. Grant, J. McLean, D. Donald) v Ardeer Rec A ( F. Coyle, R. Gorrie, W. Gilmour, D. Stalker).

Umpires in charge. J. Conway and D. Cathcart.

The Senior Rinks start at 2pm and the remainder, including the Mixed Pairs at 6.30pm.

Results from the Mixed Pairs semi-finals on Sunday were.

Fairlie (S. Agnew and D. Palmer) beat Kilbirnie (S. Maxwell and A. Walker) at Girdle Toll; Irvine Winton (M. McGowan and J. McCulloch) beat Ardeer Rec at Largs.

The winners will also play in the finals at Irvine Winton on the above date and organisers are looking for a good turn-out as the players battle for a place in the National Finals at Northfield.
