Well deserved break for KSC Girls

KILWINNING Sports Club’s U15 girls team have just finished fourth in the very competitive South West Region League.

The season is now complete and there will be a break until March as the girls make the first move to summer football which will run from March to November.

The KSC team took points off every team in the league, the most memorable result being a 3-1 opening day win over Celtic, making the Pennyburn outfit the only team to beat the eventual champions.

“This short season has been great in terms of player development and we hope that next season will follow a similar pattern,” said coach Colin Hunter. “Five players represented the region at school level and were also selected for the SFA regional squad.”

KSC Girls are always on the look out for new players and pre season training starts in late January.
