52 cows killed by lightning

FIFTY-TWO Hereford and Normandy breed cows were killed after lightning struck a wire fence the unfortunate bovines were grazing next to.

The incident occurred near Montevideo in Uruguay, and comes only weeks after 53 cattle died in Uganda under similar circumstances after taking shelter from a storm under a tree.
