More than 100 workers at a firm which makes household cleaning products are to lose their job.
Jeyes has told staff at its factory in East Kilbride, South Lanarkshire, the site will be closed.
A total of 104 people work there.
The company said it is moving operations to a factory in Norfolk from August.
Jeyes said the decision was made after a review of the "profitability and sustainability" of the East Kilbride factory in the town's Colvilles Road.
A counter-proposal, supported by Scottish Enterprise, to transfer some manufacturing to Norfolk but keep part of the work going in East Kilbride "did not offer a robust solution", according to the company.
Eric Houston, interim operations director for Jeyes, said: "We have informed our employees at our Colvilles Road site in East Kilbride, Scotland that following an extensive consultation, closure of the site has been confirmed.
"Following a review of the profitability and sustainability of manufacturing at the site, we spent the last five months consulting with our employee representatives to ensure that all relevant factors were fully taken into account.
"We understand that this decision will come as a concern and disappointment to our hard-working, loyal staff and that the period up to and including closure will be a difficult time.
"We will continue to work with our staff and their representatives throughout this time and will offer help and support to employees looking for alternative employment."
