Police discover cocaine in flat

Drugs with an estimated street value of more than £100,000 have been recovered after police searched a flat.

Officers from Strathclyde Police made the discovery at the property in Main Street, Blantyre, South Lanarkshire, under warrant around 1.30pm on Saturday.

Police said £112,000 worth of cocaine was found.

A spokesman said: "A 21-year-old man has been arrested and is presently detained in police custody in connection with the find."

A report will be sent to the procurator fiscal and the man is expected to appear at Hamilton Sheriff Court on Monday.
