NORTH Ayrshire CCTV centre in Saltcoats has been given a boost to the tune of £50,000.
The money has been used to buy four, flat screen monitors to display images from the 16 cameras around North Ayrshire. Chairwoman of North Ayrshire CCTV, Councillor Margaret McDougall was impressed with what she saw in the control room and said: “This has increased the capacity of our screens from 32 individual monitors to 64. We are also getting much clearer digital images.”
NACCTV currently has 32 static cameras in Irvine, Kilwinning, Beith and the Three Towns. Also in the picture is company secretary Ian Mackay and director Kenny Bowker with the new screens.
