Ayrshire mums deliver greatest gift of all

NEW mums Stephanie McLean and Leanne Yeo received the best gift of all after giving birth at Ayrshire Maternity Unit on Christmas Day.

Proud Leanne, of Mountcastle Wynd, Kilwinning, welcomed her beautiful daughter Anna into the world at 2.48am.

She was the second baby born at the unit on Christmas morning. The first – a tot from Ayr – arrived a minute earlier.

Anna, who weighed in at 6lb 11oz, is pictured with Leanne and delighted dad Mark Chesney.

Lovely Adian Jones, pictured with mum Stephanie and dad Dale Jones, of Moorfoot Way, Irvine was the last to arrive at 9.50am, weighing in at 6lb 10oz.

The bouncing babies were among five to be born at the unit at Crosshouse Hospital during the day.
