Super Girl brought back memories

Is it wrong to be more than a little emerald green with envy of a six-year-old?

I hate to admit I was guilty of this when I took a friend’s daughter to pick a costume she had admired for a while.

Young Rhianna Sinclair loves Super Man and Super Girl and when I heard XS Stock in Irvine had the outfits in stock, we flew over to have a look.

And honestly, her face when she saw it is something I will never forget – excited is an understatement.

It made me think of being very young and being given a set of Wonder Woman pyjamas, that Christmas Day I thought I was this super hero and to see a child get so excited about this, took me right back to that time in my life.

I should add her younger sister Shannon was equally lovely as a fairy.

And I should also confess I did look for the adult Super Girl costume too, alas to no joy.

But I have a 5k and 10k runs coming up and wouldn’t it be great to wear a cape to do them.
