When I first watched a clip of Zumba was that I couldn’t do it. But after a five-year break from fitness I found myself going along to a class.
And I realised you don’t have to be a great dancer or super fit, it really is for everyone. As the moves are so varied it never gets boring and the up-beat Latin inspired music gives every class a party atmosphere. It made me realise fitness can be fun. As an instructor, it is always good to see the people in your class enjoy themselves and enjoy the changes as they lose weight and tone up while having fun. Many of the Zumbettes like to cheer and sing along as their confidence grows and their personalities shine through. And even if you can’t dance, the moves are so simple, everyone picks it up AND falls in love with the moves every class. Teaching Zumba has not only boosted my confidence but also introduced me to people who have become friends for life.
