... A weepy movie.

I admit it, I love them all.

It feels a little like a shameful confession but I don’t think I am happy unless a film has me reaching for my hankies.

A friend once told me she loved horror films as they always envoked some sort of emotional reaction.

Well, I feel the same about an old-fashioned romantic tale. Heavens, I even cry at Enchanted and that’s aimed at kids!

One of my guaranteed ‘tears’ films, starring Anne Hathaway and Jim Sturgess (pictured),is One Day.

Having read the book, which resulted in a three-day downer, I knew what to expect.I was a wreck when I saw it at the cinema!

In public I do try and instil a stiff upper lip but at home I can relax, sit back and weep until I have no more tears left to cry.

And One Day, a tale of a girl in love with her best friend for three decades, is guaranteed to achieve just that.

And The Way We Were starring Barbara Streisand and Robert Redford is another guranteed tear-fest for this girl - you would almost think I am addicted to the pain of it.
