North Ayrshire’s budding actors are being called on for a national drama festival.
The Scottish Youth Theatre is looking actors and technicians aged from 8 to 25 to take part in Summer Festival 2013.
Courses range from one to six weeks, with everything from performing arts to technical production on offer.
Previous participants include Hollywood legend Gerard Butler and ‘Dr Who’ star Karen Gillan.
Nineteen-year-old Eilidh Zerebiec from Kilmarnock took part in previous Summer Festivals and has gone on to study acting.
She said: “I gained so much experience and knowledge taking part in Summer Festival and made lots of new friends with similar interests.
“Taking part in Summer Festival helped me to learn to network too, which led to get other pieces of work to build upon my CV.
“It was great experience to meet other like-minded people the same age as me.”
