Roddy Hart gig, Libertine

NEW bar and gig venue Libertine is open for business.

And singer-songwriter Roddy Hart performed to a packed crowd in the Ayr venue.

Despite suffering from a cold, the Glasgow performer played a brilliant set, performing part solo acoustic and part with his band the Lonesome Fire.

Showing his diversity by playing various instruments throughout his set, Hart performed songs from his new album Sign Language, as well as tracks from his previous album Bookmarks.

His new single, Send A Message, in particular went down a storm with the captive audience.

Libertine, in River Street, is a cosy, comfortable environment in which to view up and coming acts.

Since opening its doors in October, the venue has become more and more popular, with the bar open all week and gigs currently on a couple of nights a week.
