FIVE teenage boys have been reported in connection with a daylight raid on an Irvine discount store.
The youngsters, two 16-year-olds, two 17-year-olds and a 15-year-old, allegedly broke into XS Stock in Lamont Drive at 8pm on June 18 and made off with £300 worth of goods.
They were apprehended by police a short time later after being identified by witnesses. Officers said some of the stolen property was recovered in bushes nearby.
Reports have been sent to the procurator fiscal and children’s panel.
