CABLE telly suppliers Smallworld have acted quickly to make sure their customers don’t lose out following the collapse of Setanta.
Irvine-based Smallworld have promised that those who subscribed to the doomed satellite channel won’t lose a penny.
“We immediately cancelled all the Setanta subscriptions as soon as they pulled the plug so customers will only be charged up to June 23,” a spokeswoman said.
“Nobody will continue to be charged after that date and nobody will be asked to pay for something they are not getting.”
Now Smallworld are anxiously keeping an eye on the situation to see if they can plug the gap left by the Setanta collapse. The spokeswoman went on: “As a main sponsor of Kilmarnock FC, Smallworld are very aware of the demand there is for televised Scottish football and we are very keen to keep on showing games.”
