Ayrshire seminar on getting grants

COMMUNITY and social groups will have the chance to get the lowdown on how to apply for cash grants at a seminar hosted by Central Ayrshire MP Brian Donohoe.

The event to be held at Prestwick Academy on Wednesday, February 18, is open to organisations from all over the constituency and will be attended by representatives from The Big Lottery Fund, Children In Need, Lloyds TSB Foundation, Voluntary Action and South Ayrshire Council’s own grants award team.

Mr Donohoe is the only UK MP to host such an event which stemmed from his efforts to prise money from the Lottery for organisations in his constituency.

He said the seminar would “put the people of Central Ayrshire at a distinct advantage.”

Mr Donohoe went on: “It’s a great opportunity to turn dreams into reality and it costs absolutely nothing to come along.”
