Mikey Hughes’ record breaking moustache

BIG Brother runner-up Mikey Hughes joined hundreds of men at Firhill football ground to raise awareness of male cancers and also set a new World Record.

The 33-year-old blind DJ from Kilwinning said: “Really it was an easy option.”

“I didn’t have to perform some death-defying stunt or eat something horrible like pickled eggs or lemons.

“All I had to do was grow a moustache, it wasn’t difficult at all.

“There was a great feeling of camaraderie among us all at Firhill and I was really proud to be part of a new World Record and raise awareness about cancer too.”

But on December 1, Mikey was quick to take his prize moustache off.

He said this week: “I enjoyed growing it throughout November but it was also a good feeling to take it off.”
