It’s now the final week of Movember and men all over the country are looking like dapper gentry with their incredible moustaches.
In supermarkets and on the street, I’m sure Irvine Herald readers have seen an increase of men with taches walking amongst them.
But we have to remember why Movember takes place - to raise funds and awareness for male cancer charities.
I’m sure many of you have seen Michael Owen’s Movember effort.
Who would’ve thought that the baby-faced, ex-Liverpool star could grow such an excellent moustache.
Another shout-out must go to our boys in blue whom we mentioned in last week’s update.
The Ayrshire Police Tash Force have raised almost £2000 and are currently third in the UK-wide Movember Emergency Services Group.
Pictured here are a few of the participants from the Ayrshire Police Tash Force who have raised £1775: Stuart Stirling, Graeme Smith, Stuart McClung and Danny Ver-Berne.
Although this is the last week of Movember, we’re going to have a picture special next week of all the Movember participants we’ve featured this month, including the Sainsburys Movengers and our very own reporter Ross Dunn.
Don’t forget, you can still donate to The Irvine Herald’s Movember page here: http://mobro.co/irvineherald.
And, if you’ve got any moustaches on the go, Tweet us @Irvine_Herald.
