The next outing for the Cunninghame Ramblers will be a walk to Loudoun Hill near Darvel on Saturday, November 24.
This walk will be led by John Inglis and is graded as moderate with a recognised ascent to the summit which should afford the walkers an excellent view along the Irvine Valley and beyond to our neighbouring counties.
On Wednesday, November 28, the Ramblers are offering new and perhaps less confident walkers the opportunity to join us in an easy and short walk on Stevenston beach and in Ardeer Park.
This walk will be led by Mike McGuire and will be finished by lunchtime.
The walk is on tracks and paths and is an ideal opportunity for an easy introduction to walking with Ramblers in North Ayrshire.
As usual, the meeting point for departing on the walk will be at the Kirkgate car park behind the Royal Bank of Scotland, High Street, Irvine.
The ramblers leave at 9am prompt, so anyone who wants to go should arrive on time.
New walkers are welcome to participate in up to four walks prior to being required to take a membership of the Ramblers Association.
Membership gives an entitlement to participate in the walking programmes of all the Ramblers Association groups throughout the United Kingdom.
Within Ayrshire there are three groups located around Irvine, Kilmarnock and Ayr who organise weekly walks within the South and West of Scotland.
